Bloemdal Hospital (Pty) Ltd is establishing a full private hospital healthcare facility on the Southern side of Bloemfontein. The Free State Department of Health has awarded the company a licence to operate, and the land for the development has already been purchased.

Designed by Hospital Design Group — specialists in healthcare architecture across South Africa and Lesotho — the campus will combine 200 beds, nine theatres, a casualty unit, consulting rooms, and critical care capacity for the communities of Lourierpark, Fauna, Fichardtpark, and beyond.

Several general practitioners, specialists, and allied health professionals in the Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality have confirmed they will rent consulting rooms and use the hospital’s facilities to treat their patients.

The project aims to create roughly 247 permanent jobs and deliver private healthcare closer to home for families across Southern Bloemfontein and surrounding areas.
